Just saw the preview for "Cloud Atlas". Quite a bold movie, I hope it is good.

Mike

Cloud Atlas... What a gigantic piece of crap. At the end of the first half hour, you are trying to figure out what the movie is about, at the end of the 2nd half hour, you don't even care to find out anymore. Long, slow, boring, crappy stories, crappy makeup, just plain crappy. I not only wanted my money back, I wanted the theatre to pay me for the 2.5 hours of my life I wasted watching the movie.

Well that sucks, but it was a stretch to begin with.

Maybe near the endtimes. Lucas finally hands the reins to someone else. Disney buys out Lucasfilm/ILM for $4billion; half cash, half stock (DIS @ 50.08):
Disney CEO announces Star Wars Ep.7 in 2015! (followed by Ep.8,9) Hope we survive the next few years to see it.

Disney Buys LucasFilm for $4 Billion and Will Make New 'Star Wars' Movies - Yahoo! News

"In 2015, we’re planning to release Star Wars Episode 7 – the first feature film under the “Disney-Lucasfilm” brand. That will be followed by Episodes 8 and 9 – and our long term plan is to release a new Star Wars feature film every two to three years. We’re very happy that George Lucas will be creative consultant on our new Star Wars films and that Kathleen Kennedy, the current Co-Chair of Lucasfilm, will executive produce. George handpicked Kathy earlier this year to lead Lucasfilm into the future. She’ll join Disney as President of Lucasfilm, reporting into Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn and integrating and building the Star Wars franchise across our company. "

Watched a lot of TV lately with being sick for so long.

The Dark Knight was pretty amazing, as expected. Would definitely watch again.

The Amazing Spiderman was barely so-so, would not watch again.

Lawless - stopped about 20 minutes into it, just couldn't get into it at all.

Brave - I enjoyed it, not something I would watch again.

The Expendables 2 - not as good as the first one

Total Recall (the new one) - I thought it was alright, wouldn't watch it again

ParaNorman - turned off after 15 minutes, couldn't get into it.

The Campaign - pretty terrible

I saw "Prometheus" on pay-per-view and I thought it was great - albeit a little confusing with the opening sequence but the rest of the movie was pretty cool. If you like sci-fi, I recommend it.
