Unless you're a super scalpy trader -- and even if you are -- you can get plenty of exercise at your trading turret, just by doing stuff right there. Pop up a big chart on your 21" and get down on the floor and exercise or start hopping around - helps selectivity.

Also, a few 30 minute walks during the trading day -- assuming you are a full time trader -- are great, as a stress reliever and for the activity of course. You might even miss an 'opportunity' that would have cost you money. Of course, you could always take your smart phone out with you too .....

averaged about 30 minutes a day this week , stretching, jogging in place , shadow boxing etc.. to get the blood flowing again

switched from soda to iced tea a few months ago and increasing water consumption

going shopping later, someone said only shop on the outer ring of the market and not in the aisles, I think is good advice

Going to start adding a brisk walk to morning ritual , I live 5 blocks from the beach and stupid not to walk down there daily

Even when I was working a 9-5.... since high school I've always exercised religiously. I've always kept a membership at either a jiu-jitsu or MMA class as I never feel like I'm exercising while doing these things, so it's easy. I also used to walk a lot and lift weights. I even run occasionally, which I absolutely have always hated, even when I was in high school running track.

For the record I don't think humans are meant to run, and that it's mostly bad for you, especially when you get over 30.

I probably continued to exercise about a year into trading. Then I somewhat just lost the motivation to do so for the first time ever. It kinda zapped it out of me at least temporarily.

My diet since I left college has always been pretty decent. Everything in moderation, very few carbs and lots of greens. In the past year that has gone to chit!

Since I've begun trading, I have lost a bit of muscle, and I've probably lost about 15 lbs. I don't eat regularly anymore(usually less than 1K calories/day and not everyday), I don't sleep regularly..... it's a bitch.

I've lost 30 lbs and am working on more, in the last month have started using my elliptical machine and in the last day have started doing some Xbox Kinect fitness routines including "Your Fitness Evolved", "Biggest Loser", and "UFC Championship Fitness". They combine to give a wide array of fitness routines and also keep my interest better than something that isn't interactive. Xbox Kinect is perfect for this type of thing.

I actually don't eat too bad but too much when the blood is boiling (addictive personality), I stopped fast food and all that years ago , was always in good shape as a landscaper since my teens and later my own business, the downturn was foreseen in 2007 but wasn't much I could do about it , business gone, it's been tough for myself, my lady and her daughter but we are pushing through , she's Mexican and we are both fairly good cooks , I just switched many of her ingredients to "American" , it's been more the emotional toll and a loss of focus on the things that are also important besides bills and money , lack of exercise and 'smelling the roses' even if they aren't as bright or abundant as they once were....

Trying to make changes in not just trading but in life and get back on track , I'm 38

This is the biggest I've ever been , 6' 3' 300 lbs going on 2 years so needs to stop

Skipped today but had a good reason. Poor little dog we have for years ingested rat poison from the neighbors and didn't think she was going to make it, luckily I knew right away what it was from and looks like she will pull through.

Just so everyone knows if your dog is sick and you see blood, suspect poison ingestion quickly and don't let it near anything that comes back up, and don't let it eat or drink. This little dog was pushed out the truck window by other dog at 50 miles an hour and didn't have scratch, jumped from a second story balcony into a toolbox and now survived rat poison it seems, fingers crossed, she's on an IV here in the house....

Thanks for advice and back in the zone manana

Funny how all you guys are looking forward to losing weight. I need to gain mine back at some point.

My weight loss is totally unhealthy and not my intended goal.
