I've been ignored on two threads that I know of (there may be more..lol). It's one thing to be disruptive, vulgar, racist etc. and another to express a different opinion in a civil manner.
There are OP's who simply place a member on ignore because they differ in opinion and don't kiss up to the OP or follow the OP's marching orders. These thread starters are thin skinned, insecure and have low self esteem in my opionion.
Too many folks here use the ignore button like a cowboy with a six-gun in the wild West. Nowadays, we call that small penis syndrome.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
All kidding aside - I encourage debate, even with strong emotion, because without debate it is much harder to learn and grow. As long as we don't regress to name calling then it can be educational.
Originally I created the Off-Topic section for this kind of stuff, but perhaps after the site re-launches with vB 4.0 and the new look/features/skin, I should create a new section specifically for debating methods to do with trading --- so it's not off-topic but allows people to rant a bit and steadfastly defend their beliefs and positions, debating the finer points, etc, but without turning a 'main' thread in one of the 'main' categories into a wrestling match.
