STEVO7, welcome here.

If your fait in NT7 is restored by watching a movie with an unrealistic number or cars being added, then I suggest you start using NT7 so you can see for yourself that this software should even not be distributed for free. It's just functional buggy. I strongly advise everybody to move away from NT and look for alternatives. The data, stability, backtest results and basic trading functionality is not always correct in NT.

Go find something else to back test with, there are lots of choices. Use ninja to enter the orders from your other system, it will do that without question.

The rest of what you sday above flies in the face of what I have demonstrated. Also showed rapid entering and exiting of 10+ cars using an actual brokerage feed with real $$$ in a matter of seconds. So, I do not understand the criticism.

This is a trading platform first and foremost. Unrealistic was the point. If it can do that, it can move a lot less.

Besides there is no holy grail. You can either trade or you can't. Don't expect that any system you can build on you own can compete (I am almost healthy enough Zoe for that throw-down) with all the machines out there funded by folks with a whole lot more $$$ than any of us here.

Are you sure that trading on your sim account is exactly the same as trading live $$$ ? I disagree. On a live account NT has to use the API to send the orders, and return a confirmation. If you have an ATM running with anything trailing then it has to do that for all the orders you entered all true that API every time something changes with your stop. Also if you use the DOM then NT will make an extra connection each click with https to log on their servers the number of clicks on your DOM for the patent they have to pay to x-trader.

The performance will not be the same as demonstrated in your video. Sorry.

But I do it with a live account. Up to 20 cars. Did that before my first Webinar trading YM. I would never click it that fast, but I do leave stops and execute market orders within seconds of a limit being hit. Ninja has just barely perceptibled stalled, but not enough to stop the order from being executed. Granted with real $$$ I have not gone more that 20 cars. Maybe in a few months I can talk about moving 100 cars live.

That is a bit strong MetalTrade to all those who use it everyday without issue. And if it's SO bad why not tell us what alternative you use that is so much better?

I'm moving to Multicharts, waiting until I have the DOM and charttrader on it. I'm also testing CQG.

20 cars is not really a big deal for a software program IMHO. I like your videos, thanks but I'm really wondering what the use is of that last one on SIM101 account. You don't use the bottleneck, that is the API.

are you guys running NT7 on a dedicated up-to-date machine to provide smooth sailing waters?

each year since started into trading i'm treating myself with a strong and quiet gaming PC that runs my trading analysis apps...there's really nothing else on there (ok, somehow need 4 speed & colin slip in). So far I think I had about 5 platforms, each had it's own quirks of course, but once used to it combined with the above setup there were more errors made by me than the 'specs' for sure.

Nothing is perfect and there never will be, you can even find faults at an Audi RS5 that had an overnight stay @ ABT getting pumped up

Granted - for Ninjas .NET flexibility you pay the price to need to know exactly what you're doing...with my autostrats I dont put a too high premium on backtesting, its just a rough idea if a) it's an edge or b) not. The rest is better done in MR and live testing.

Overall I'm pretty happy with NT7 and hope they withstand the tempatation to roll into production too soon...

What is beta testing about?

Pushing the product to the breaking point.

Since I do not have a $7,000,000 Margin Account I can only test the up to the amount I am comfortable, which is 20 live.

Some one with a larger account could test this or, Ray could set up a fake - real account. I'll do the same thing.

How about it Ray. Set me up with an account where everything is real, but the trades are not executed at the end. Not sure how this would work???? Or just trust me to know when I can trade like this. and give me a $100,000 account-100 cars CL, 200 ES.
