I've done the b3 to R4 migration on Win7ProSP1/32 and that was easy.
I've done the R2 to R4 migration on Server2008R2SP1/64 and that was more of a challenge.
FWIW I always keep a copy of the Strategy and Indicator folders as backup, as well as the XML templates I use. Over and above the Ninja backups.
R5 will probably be what the first general release of Ninja 7 should have been IMHO. May 2011 maybe?
Static data management (aka Instrument Manager and Session Manager) are tools that really need to be understood/exploited by end users depending on their particular needs and I can see that being an ongoing source of support requests.
The new SecureTeam CliSecure thing seems pretty cool. That is a new area for me but it gives me some ideas for protecting and/or time limiting IP and I think it will actually open up some new development avenues that may further establish Ninja in its space. I don't know if that is good or bad, but it is what it is.

for those who have more than one computer, suggest upgrading the least important computer and preferably one you don't use for live trading. Run for a few days taking some sim trades and see what happens.
That's what I do and that way I don't get myself into problems that are a challenge to overcome.
