Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

Hi Cory, first let me thank you for all your wonderful work you do here and share with us all, it's not something that is to be taken for granted !!!

2nd you've added this link and I see gail is using this volume indicator, my question is, is there a way if you have an idea, to replicate her adx indicator with the signals it creates on peaks?

thank you so much for everything

We also have ADX expert here

gails ADX doesn't appeal to me because ADX needs many bars to calculate then you have to make sure all 3 time frames are in sync. Conclusion: ADX is not for me esp hers.

OK, thank you for your quick reply
I was just wondering how that magenta peak was calculated, wasn't really interested in that adx, I thin a cci would give a better signal than an adx
thank you again

magenta peak full name was adx magenta peak. my guess is adx > 40 color it magenta then adx retreats and we have magenta peak, just my guess from glancing at it.
