Welcome to futures io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

I prefer range 4 myself, but it still gives false signals quite a bit no matter what you do.

You need to come up with some strategy to get around that issue & range versus minute bars won't cut it.

Working on that one.

Using momentum stop to confirm helps, but still insufficient. Working on something combining the two indicators with price action in a longish term swing versus position trading "stop & reverse" system. That gets close to giving you high quality signals for large gains. But it trades infrequently, and you can't go far from the monitor in case one of those rare high-quality reversal signals does crop up. Something like that gets you close. And you have to have the stomach for draw down and trading without a stop. No free lunch, I'm afraid.

it is price action + volume indicator thus any tf, any bar type is ok, there is no 'best' signal since some like more signal some like less signal just keep in mind bigger tf = less signal.
