Seeking advice on NinjaTrader Simulator Settings

I am a discretionary trader of ES. I use 2000 tick, 1 min and 5 min charts for decision making. I plan to use simulator in conjunction with market replay to do some training/drilling. I'll be using chart trader to execute simulated orders.

I am seeking advice on how to set the settings in the simulator options tab. My goal is to mimic real environment as much as possible, and particularly to simulate fills in a conservative manner.

Recently, I noticed that many of my limit orders at bid, do not get filled and go on to have positive excursion. So part of the practice will be order execution... when to do limit at bid (if going long), and when to switch to hit the the ask prices.

Thanks for the advice!
