Im new to using Ninjatrader. Is anyone using Chart Trader (when trading with Ninjatrader) ..rather than the superDOM?
And if so ... why?
I also have couple of specific Chart Trader questions:
1. When placing a trade with Chart Trader using an ATM strategy do the orders remain at the broker if internet connect is lost (All trades are either Buy/Sell Stop orders).
2. When trading 3 contracts using an ATM strategy via Chart Trader how do I close individual contracts.
For example, I enter trade with 3 contacts, 1st contract reaches its target and is automatically closed, 2nd contract stalls near its target. So I choice to manually exit 2nd contract. How do I close 2nd contract yet leave 3rd contract open (i.e, can I do it via Chart Trader?).

Can you help answer these questions from other members on futures io?
When I trade ES, I use a DOM as I use the depth to determine where large orders are as well as to get a feel for the current flow. ES moves slowly enough that the DOM contains the price for long periods of time. Of course, I still have the chart around to see the bigger picture.
When I trade CL, I generally use the chart trader for a couple of reasons. CL moves very fast and almost erratically at times compared to ES. So, using a DOM is more difficult because price can move off the DOM rather quickly. I also find the depth for CL to be much less useful as it is much thinner, and I personally have a harder time getter a feel for the flow.
Review NT help guide and forum before you do anything further . ATM strats do what they are told and unless you understand it fully and test it on sim the surprises can be costly .
Ive found that entering my oders directly on my brokers platform assures it goes right to their server and I dont have to worry about any outages on either end . Im not making many trades , maybe once a day or less so its not necessary to enter on NT and use it only for charting now .
