To what NinjaTrader folder do I copy a custom .cs file to? I can't compile the code because I have the free version of NT.

If it is an indicator then in the Indicator folder:
C:\...\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom\Indicator

Next, you may need to compile it before being able to use it. To compile it, just import any indicator, it may be an indicator which you already have. This will force Ninja to recompile all .cs files. After these steps, you are ready to use it.

If it is an indicator copy the file to -> Own Documents -> NinjaTrader 7 -> bin -> Custom -> Indicator.

If it is a strategy copy the file to -> Own Documents -> NinjaTrader 7 -> bin -> Custom -> Strategy.

If it is a market analyzer file copy the file to -> Own Documents -> NinjaTrader 7 -> bin -> Custom -> MarketAnalyzer.

If you copy files they are not compiled, so it is necessary to compile them afterwards. Open the file from within NinjaTrader and compile via F5.
