This chart type is deceiving in the NinjaTrader backtester, because the open of the bar is the previous close, which isn't actually what the tick is at. So you get either really great results, or really bad ones, but they aren't how the strategy will actually act.

Am I the only one who noticed this post was not addressed by anyone yet?

Is this another case of a nice looking bar that's impractical for ATS?

on the nogaprangebars, does this only need to be applied to 4range charts or to all range charts?

Seeking some assistance.

I have downloaded the NoGapRange from the download section.

Imports ok.
Have re-booted NT. ((NT 7.0.1000.7)
I can see it listed in the "type" Folder in Explorer.

But when I right click chart and select Data Series it is not listed in the "Type" drop down list
where all other bar types are listed.

It may conflict if you have other special bar types that are numbered the same. What other bar types do you have installed?

occasional play with other bar types.....suddenly i shocked why ADR values changed..it was ok on my regular BR chart then why not on RangeNoGap...

Soon it was clear that it happened cause of phantom range due to phantom bars on opening gaps those could not be filled ....
