Harry, would you update this news indy to display the period of time blocked out on your chart, like the last version that JT had? I was using the last version JT had and it was great, but it bogged down computer significantly and NT said to delete it. I do have your fix called EconomicNews and like it but was wondering if you'd make this requested change. When you see it on the chart, blocked out, i.e. say 5 min. before and 5 min. after, with the red dashed vertical line at the news time...it was the ultimate! Thanks for all you do, gh

I have no idea, what you are talking about, as I do not use this indicator. Best you show me a screenshot and explain it. What means blocked out, do you want to highlight the news 5 min prior to the event?

Yes, a pic could help sorry...see the pink vertical bands, those were set at 5 minutes each side of the news and then the red dashed vertical line in the middle was the exact news time. 2011-03-30_0530 - GregHohman's library

Why don't you use the standalone version blog[MENTION=6514]JohnT[/MENTION]hom.com, it isn't resource intensive and indipendent from NT, instead of using graphical reminders on your charts you can be advised via sound

My older jtEcoNews2 gives a message that no object found. I downloaded and imported the above version you posted but will not show up on the indicator drop down list (it shows up on the .cs files). Any idea?

it's probably under "EconomicNews" in the indicator drop down list.

you can change the name to whatever you want. attached a pic where to change it.
