I have set up Windows 7 64bit on VBox hosted by Vista 32. Seems to generally work well. I am trying to set up NT and can get it running with no problems when I copy over the full contents of the NinjaTrader 6.5 data folder. It all seems to work until I change a script and recompile it. An error appears:
Metadata file 'C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 6.5\bin\NinjaTrader.Core.dll' could not be found
The NT installation process has put the program files in C:\Program Files (x86) which makes sense I guess as they are 32 bit programs. But the compile process expects to find files in the Program Files folder.

Has anyone successfully got NT up and running on x64 and what tweaks did you make to get the compile process to look in the revised program folder?

-thanks

Quick thought, you may have already tried it, but, did you try the following?

Backup from within NT (utilities - backup - all)
New NT install on the new OS
Restore from NT

Also, I would think some registry entries are in order during the installation for everything to work properly, but could be wrong.

I am also not running via virtualization.

I am running Windows 7 x64 and NT 6.5.1000.10 without issue, but used the above method when moving from Vista.
