I just want to share a frustrating incident that may help others. After an upgrade of Acronis to the latest I started to experience issues with NT8 version 8.0.27.1 64-bit.
The symptoms were the software would start as per normal and after the charts loaded and the first quotes appeared on the DOM, the software would become non-responsive (suspended in task manager).
After many hours and many bum steers from NT support, I narrowed this down to Acronis and resolved the issue by disabling the "protection service". This service protects you from ransomware crypto lockers etc. Whilst disabling the protection service is not ideal at least it got me going again.
Just posting this in the case so it may help a colleague trader.
