I would like to address your comments but I could use more information from you. Can I ask you to be more specific about what you mean by interconnections and what's no longer works?

In general, we don't develop to NinjaTrader 7 anymore, have not for quite some time. You will continue to have access to it for the unforeseeable future.

Much thanks for your reaction.

FYI: NT7 & NT8 were operating perfectly till Feb. 3rd close of business.

Starting both applications the morning of Monday Feb. 6th, both NT7 & NT8 produced a bunch of errors, stating no connection could be made to collect IB’s realtime & historic data.

I sent all Trace & Log files to the Ninja’s support platform and despite many exchanges the problems remain unsolved !

With respect to NT7, I understand that Ninja doesn’t further develop, but they could “at least” leave the API data exchange UNCHANGED so the realtime & historic data continue to populate the charts. I don’t understand that if there’s no further development, why broker (IB) interconnection protocols are deleted or taken away ?

With respect to NT8, I’m experiencing the same interconnection errors. Only a part of symbols (instruments) are updating, others (who used to update before Feb. 6th) doesn’t work anymore. Platform support obviously can’t find out what’s wrong.

I can't. But I can say we have NinjaTrader 6.5, has to be 15+ years old now, we have yet to turn off access to that yet.

Ray

Wow. Hadn't realized that NinjaTrader 6.5 was still going. Awesome. Hope NT 7 goes a lot longer also.

Thanks for your candid feedback.

- Yes, NinjaTrader Web and Mobile and good parts of the brokerage account dashboard come from Tradovate
- I can't comment on the lack of support specific to Tradovate but I will pass this along to make sure its addressed
- NinjaTrader customer support staff have been training up on Web and Mobile, we are about to expand our support forum to include Web and Mobile categories so we can deliver the same level of support that you have grown accustomed to with the NinjaTrader platform over the past 20 years
- Web is an important part of our growth plans for the future so rest assured, we are committed to its development
- Technically Tradovate community indicators work on the NinjaTrader branded version but I will check to see if they are accessible, that I don't know, good question
- Brian is employed at NinjaTrader and sits on our executive team, the lead developer Victor has become our Chief Architect. They care, there deliverables just changed. In any case, as mentioned above, I will check into the support side of the house

Hopes this helps provide clarity for you.

Ray

So the owner of NT just said they didn't train staff fully before changes.

If I (or any sane professional) were running a multimillion dollar brokerage and widely used platform I would train my staff before...no?!

So in summery the platform has broken for a lot of people and your staff aren't trained for your changes implemented.

REG FLAGS all over the place now,

could you tell us why ninja trader does not allow vendor reviews from clients that bought trader stuff from vendors in the eco system ? some are good vendor while others are criminals , is there some reason you protect the criminals selling products in the app store ?

I could not have said it better. As if ALL Vendors have integrity. With everything in life you have the good, the bad and the ugly. Vendors included. aka opportunists. Why isnt NinjaTrader doing more to screen these Vendors and why are they not protecting those of us who paid for a lifetime license?

I have been hurt financially by numerous Vendors, the last being JFRCB Trading. Because I left a review, I was banned from access to their indicator instructions/videos on their Discord.

Furthermore, when I try to warn others in the webinars, I have my chat deleted almost immediately.

NinjaTrader says contact so and so. I have. I have sent them details of my experiences, and never heard back. So my question? Why isnt NinjaTrader protecting their customers?

Your post will not be deleted here on FIO when you share an honest review, so please do.

But scam vendors be warned, we've developed a lot of tools in the last 14 years to detect when they are full of it and are just using fake accounts to write glowing reviews.

Those posts will be deleted, and no number of threats of lawsuits or actual lawsuits will change that.

So FIO is a safe place for real vendor reviews.

Could someone point me in the direction of a good trading platform for US futures based in the US that doesn't have a CEO that has such blasé attitude to client care and staff training, his comment have immediately made me want to pull my account 8.00 am Monday.

Any advice greatly appreciated. I am based in Geneva, and trade with IG, IB, Swissquote, Fidessa but wish to have a USA based broker, and good functional platform for US futures.

thank you all in advance

@NinjaTrader

Hello Ray

I`m so happy to hear that we finaly have a mobile app so when I'm in a trade I don't need to pray for not having a power or internet outage. LOL

Also .. FINALLY.. Server Side Orders, I'm waiting for this for years. Now we can start with LMT orders again.

I will wait for the end of the futures rollover until next week and then lets rock with the new release.

REG FLAGS all over the place now,

With all due respect, that's not what I said.

"Have been" which is past tense.

My main point was that our support forum today, does not have a Web and a Mobile category(s) where users can post questions specific to these platforms and that these will be added shortly.

Honestly, NT can be very difficult to beat. It just all depends.

I do have to say that NinjaTrader Ray has been the most open speaker in the 14 year history of our site. Bottom line, you can't please everyone.
