The new update is all about integrating Tradovate into their ecosystem that they purchased last year.

The back end at the 250ms delay still there.

Personally I have not updated and wont be doing so, and judging by the raft of people I have seen that are no having issues I would wait until the release the next update or maybe 2 before id even think about it.

as the old adage goes "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

Could you please explain what you mean by 250ms delay? Perhaps point to another thread that explains it?

Separately, I was caught in the "service outage" this week. Rolled back to 8.0. Beware that 8.1 eats your license code. Be sure you have it before upgrading.

I think NT should make the login optional. It is not needed if you don't have a brokerage account with them.

I tried Ninjatrader platform; even paid $1000 for a lifetime license (what an idiot I am LOL) and never liked the platform much anyway. Bot it due to investing in a plug-in that I then thought was going to be a real benefit to my trading (wrong).

Fast forward to today, they have now bot Tradovate and ruined that platform as well. Even charging $60/month for VWAP!!! That is some bullshit there. Buggy as hell, not risking money trading anything with Ninjatrader or Tradovate.

SIERRA CHARTS FOR THE WIN!!!!! Order routing thru Teton for no cost, lightning fast, reliable, oh yeah that dog will hunt. Stage 5 Trading brokerage, Edge Clear also offers the Teton order routing as well.

The web NinjaTrader looks exactly the same as Tradovate, like literally a re-skin of Tradovate's platform.
.

I thought the same thing, I was under the impression that ninjatrader bought tradovate… if they did, probably this is what they were planning all along.

Just use TickRefresh to force a higher refresh rate. I run at 33 fps at the moment with no issues

Very disappointed how Ninja just rolled out new software without letting any developers know.

Whenever we contact NinjaTrader for platform support, you immediate blame 3rd party vendor tools/indicators.
But you didn't give them a chance to make it work.

Exactly. It broke several of my indies on a test machine. Glad it was not on my trading PC. Going to stick to 8.0.27.1 for a while I guess

Good evening to all.
I am in apex evaluation with NT8 and nothing is changed. Apex sent me an e-mail telling me not update. That is all I know

I trade live accounts with TOS. I recently opened a couple of Apex evals, and was looking forward to trying Ninja for the first time. What a huge disappointment it was. There isn't anything about Ninja that can compare to TOS. I now just have one Ninja chart open, just so I can use chart trader, but I trade from my TOS charts. The only positive about Ninja was the reinforcement of how good TOS is.

They also cut the Desktop functionality if using another broker, which requires a multi broker license, no static dom no more. Only the dynamic dom from now on. And no, they did not bother to even announce this breaking change and cutting the functionality you bought.

I received this thread email and didn't know any of this....

Does this mean I can no longer just download a desktop version (8.0.27.1 64-bit ) like I have for years or will both ways be offered?
