Thank you for your reply (post 12). I've highlighted some text in bold from previous posts for convenience.
As has been pointed out several times the web page showing NT intra day margin policy is no longer available.
Are you referring to this when you say users need to log in to now see these margin changes ?
The link you referred to in your post number 12 suggests (to me) that we view the "intra day margin" in the appropriate column in NT desktop control ?
Is the intra day margin in NT Control Centre (above image) and the original web page showing the NT policy margin changes intra day the same thing?
If so then why was a web page initially ever created if this was how we're supposed to keep up with NT intra day "policy" to start with ?
As has also been mentioned, logging in to a web page isn't creating additional visibility.
It's not something users are likely to want to have to do. It's not at all convenient or practical IMO.
Some clarity would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Can you help answer these questions from other members on futures io?
For a long time it was really a positive experience. But now this company has closed access for all Ukrainians ("404 Not Found" when trying to log in from a Ukrainian IP), banned top up accounts and opening new accounts for Ukrainian citizens. At the same time, they continue to work successfully with Russians, accept dollars from Russian sanctioned banks, open new trading accounts, and so on. There is a separate forum where they discuss all of this(ninjafutures.ru). My letters to the company's management in English are returned through a Russian-speaking staff. Nothing special has happened in the world for this company... Sad and embarrassing.

To clarify, on the updated website, the previous Order Desk updates page is redirected to our Margins Policy page. If you have frequented this page, you may have to clear cache for the change to take effect. This page contains the detail on our margin policy.
We appreciate the posts regarding the live updates and understand your concerns. We are hard at work adding a dynamic margins page that will live on the site that will show the margins around news events in real-time. We apologize that page was not ready at launch, but it is a top priority.
In the meantime, for Friday's unemployment and listed news events in the account dashboard, here is a reminder of the policy:
Intraday margins will be set to 4X our standard rates 15 minutes prior to the release of key economic news announcements as listed on our calendar for any and/or all products. The temporary elevated margin requirements will remain in place approximately 5 minutes following the announcement once market volatility is determined to present manageable risk for our traders.
We hope this provides some clarity. Thank you.

There are quite a few difficulties with the new release. One of the problems:
Historical data saved with NinjaTrader 8.0 cannot be accessed with NinjaTrader 8.1
The reason: Someone has decided to change the denomination of the futures contracts. For instance the contract ES 06-23 is now called ES JUN23. This seems to be a minor difference, but it creates a major complication.
NinjaTrader stores data in many folders with small files. NinjaTrader 8.1 has all these folders renamed. The folder ES 06-23 becomes ES JUN23.
As a consequence NinjaTrader 8.1 cannot read historical data stored with NinjaTrader 8.0. The problem is not the data itself, but the fact that the folders have been renamed.
Therefore, all historical data needs to be downloaded again. Alternatively, the folders can be renamed manually to comply with the new requirements.
For minute data and daily data this is not a problem, because data providers typically offer many years back of data. You may simply download the data again.
However, for tick data all providers have limitations on historical data, typically something like 180 days.
On my machine, I have tick data stored for 32 futures contracts starting with 2009. Those contracts include index futures, interest rate and currency futures (4 contracts per year),
metals and agriculturals (5 contracts per year) and oils (12 contracts per year). That makes up for an average of 5.25 contracts per year.
In total on my machine there are 32 instruments x 14 years x 5.25 contracts/year = 2,352 folders containing tick data.
How to migrate historical data from NinjaTrader 8.0 to 8.1?
I have sent a note to NinjaTrader support to find a solution, but they did not answer.
Currently my only option seems to be to
Rename 2,352 folders manually by using the Windows Explorer
If I can hold my concentration it will take me about 2 entire working days before I can reuse the historical tick data. This would be sort of ridiculous.
Is there any better method to get the data migrated from NinjaTrader 8.0 to NinjaTrader 8.1?
Or am I missing something here?
