Hi today in my W11 I run a test with CQG data feed. Ninjatrader use 240 megas of the 16 GB RAM
MotiveWave use 450 megas (same)
Quantower use 1,3 GB
Same chart of MNQ for W-D-60-15-5-3-1 time frame
I asking IF always more memory used = more slowly platform ???
is not possible that more memory mean more fast process ?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
NinjaTrader desktop is a native Windows application, programmed in C#
Not sure about Quantower and MotiveWave, but the higher memory usage suggests much larger overhead, so likely built in something like Electron.
Nowadays, software developers don't really care if their programs are inefficient because computers have become much faster. Unfortunately for end users, the improvements in computers are being wasted on things like developers building programs in Electron.
