Yes, probably the best platform for those wanting automatic trading. Just make sure you back test and back test again and monitor it like a new born baby.

Correct, as CptCurmudgeon said above, it is one of the best platforms for fully automated trading however, code it and test it over and over.

Test it with your test account and then test it with live data in your test account

Then when you finally put it into production, cradle it "like a newborn baby."

If you're looking for an amazing coder, ask. Not sure what the policies are here and I dont want to advertise but ive met some amazing coders that can turn the impossible into reality. Currently cradling my own yo have it running fully soon.

Mr. STOIC.

Thank you for your response.

I am very interested in being a coder.
I look forward to working with you.

Hi @stoic,

Essentially, the policies here are that anyone who offers any service or product for paid use has to declare themselves as a vendor, and vendors may not promote themselves or their work nor provide anything except for free, open-source code or other unpaid material in public posts on the forum.

Sorry to give you the news, but it is better to tell you now than for you to run into it later.

At present, you are not running into the vendor policy, but are getting close, and should not in any case do anything to offer coding help, except, again, in free and open-source posts, including not posting to any site or resource off the forum.

For details, see the "Vendors and Self-Promotion" policy in the Terms and Conditions, here: https://nexusfi.com/disclaimer/

There are a lot of coders here and they are welcome -- however, not to provide paid coding services.

Bob.

Thanks for that, Bob! Yeah, I don't care to generate business or anything like this. And this is specifically what I was looking for: rules. So, thank you! I do hope the members of this forum do become successful traders and I will do what is within my capacity to help (via offering free help and potentially input in what kind of logic works

To the questioner, I would be glad to help you vet your strategy here or suggest what works for me both trading algorithmically and manually. Free, of course.

Hey Bob, what about mentioning other platforms? I use Stockcharts for my decision-making/charting mainly. Would discussing that be in violation of any policies? Please freel free to refer me to any/all of the forum rules. I know that Stockcharts is not a platform that is generally mentioned here.

You can mention or use anything you like, so long as you are not promoting it as someone connected with it as a vendor. So, if you like x platform and use it, feel free to say so. If you are the owner or an employee or agent or anyone with a commercial connection to it who will make some money if someone buys it, then don't.

You can look at the Terms and Conditions for more detail and for the rest of the rules: https://nexusfi.com/disclaimer/

(And apologies to @LW11041104 for getting off-topic in your thread.)

Mr. Stoick and Mr. Bob West.

Thank you for the information.

Stoick, I'll just take your sentiments under advisement.

And thank you for your comments and answers on this thread.

I may ask you again in the future, and I would appreciate it if you could help me out.

I'd second ninjatrader especially if your not a coder. I've been experimenting with bloodhound for exactly this reason. Good when your not a coder as that can get expensive outsourcing.
