questions on commissions in NT8

Do you delete the commission rates that don't apply to you? I'm lifetime, so the other 2 tables don't help.

Do you need to do anything to let NT8 know which commission to use for live trading?

I see how to assign a commission rate table to a Sim account, but in strategy analyzer there is only a checkbox to "Include Commissions" but not select which Commission Rate Table to use. How does it decide what table to use?

Are CBOT/CME/NYMEX transaction fees included in the NT8 Commission Rates?

In the CME/CBOT/NYMEX transaction fee tables, what classification is a normal retail trader?

Hi ndakotan.
You need to edit the ACCOUNT in control center (right click on account - sim or live) and choose commission template
that you edited before in commission templates as described here (see also photo above)
https://ninjatrader.com/support/helpGuides/nt8/NT%20HelpGuide%20English.html?adding_per_instrument_commissi_3.htm

Regards.
Isaac.

LOL, I was clicking on edit for the Sim, and properties for the live account. Thanks

I am still looking for an answer on the backtest/optimizations in Strategy Analyzer. Since it's not referencing the accounts, how does it know what commissions to use?

Thanks

Backtest is working only with sim101 account. When you update the template on sim and check the "include commissions" it takes
the template you enabled on the sim account:

Damn! That's way better than I get.

Reminder: saying "Thanks" this way helps lubricate things in a forum where mutual contributions are what help move things along.

By all means, use that button whenever you think it is warranted. Someone may like it.

Oh....
You , Bob, should raise your voice and protest against this awful "site moderator" guy who discriminate you above
others (like me) and give you what you deserve!
The people should speak and be heard!
Don't be silent anymore!
Look what is happening in Iran these days!
