Mostly the reason, yes. The exact same thing in C++ will generally be faster than in C#. NT made other design decisions with NT8 that also contributed to its hardware requirements, compared, for instance to NT7.
There are reasons to use C#, mainly ease of coding and safety (there are things C# does not let you do.) It's not always a cut-and-dried decision. Depends on what you want to do.

Very true! My wife's PC had the same problem. Also, she had too many days loaded on each chart/tab. Better now. 3rd party indicators also can slow own even a fast PC.

If a tool is not reparable and does not up to a task, then by all means get a new one. Obviously, working at figuring out why your current PC is not functioning is good. If you are moving multiple/many micro orders around on chart trader, that can slow things down.
Yes, your CPU should handle some ways of trading, it will be sluggish with others.
PC's are cheap right now.
At Costco online, you can get a Lenovo that will run 2 monitors (if that is enough for you).
Also, it helps to use your PC as a standalone trade station. Not much of a chance of getting a bug from browsing when you don't use it for searching the web and storing?????
