Constant problems with NT8 lately. Today charts froze several times. Same last week. Made a new workspace. Didn't help.
It was so bad today that I stopped trading. Downloaded NT8 again. Platform definitely has problems.

sounds like it's time to transition to Sierra Chart

Funny you should mention that. I just downloaded it and activated my free trial.

It looks like their dom has all the same features available that Jigsaw does. I was going to buy Jigsaw until I saw I had to shell out $600 PLUS $50 a month for something that may not fit with my trading style and doesn't even include data. SC is less than $50/month all in! If I don't like it, I cancel it. No harm, no foul.

I'm not crazy about the interface, but once it's setup I expect it will be great.

I had 16 points in MES trade nearing the close. The chart showed 16pt, but the PnL marker showed I had a profit of $2.50. So, I flattened everything. I lost over 10 points! How do you all deal with the lag? I have a 6 core i-7 with an ssd, 16gb ram an Nvidea 1050ti with 2gb ram. I had several charts up but only one instrument with different timeframes and indicators.

I've had similar issues, chart and p/l window showing different amounts. I have 32 gig ram in a gaming laptop with nvidia gtx 1650. Seems to happen during times of high volatility. Starting to wonder who's on the other side of my trades, a crew of desk jockey in their brokerage?

Things I did that helped;
Clear DB and Cache after every session
Synced Clock
And - I never use a wsp - it sucks up too much data. I save Chart templates and use those

Also, always keep a DOM open. The DOM will always show the "true" price movement.
I hope this information helps.

I did not know this!

I don't use 3rd party indicators but I've written a couple for myself. They are necessarily resource intense as they use time and sales data but even processing every tick with multiple instructions shouldn't max me out.

Wrong question! NT lag may be a problem, but FLATTEN is your main problem and always will be.
Flatten closes using market price, and in a high volatile situation that always occurs at the close, what you see is not always what you get when you use Flatten.
Best thing to do: get used to using limit orders for your trades: opening or close!
Hope I've been of use to you. is not the reason you lost so much.

with the 4k monitors, on my Jigsaw DOM, I could see the Bid/Ask at one price and executions 20+ ticks away in a fast market.

I have the same problem during fast market. My pc has i9 10850k with 32 giga ram. latency 9 msec
The only solution I found that works is close the open workspaces and open them again

Jesus...this is no way to trade.

As mentioned before...SC is rock solid. The GUI looks old, but this is because SC is trying to get this platform 100% !!! coded in C+. Meaning there is not a single piece of 3rd party program code involved in using this great platform.
