Hello all,
I use the chart trader on NT8 and most of the time it works okay, but during faster markets it can be a tad too slow as there's multiple clicks involved (right click desired price, scroll down to the correct command and finally another click). It's slow enough that I've missed entries at times.
There are various add-ons available which circumvents this by letting you place order simply by clicking on the chart and using keyboard short-cuts to differentiate between buy stop / sell limit above price and vice versa below price.
Finally, another solution could be to simply start using the DOM to place one click orders and stop trading directly from charts. But this is something I have not been doing up until now.
Thanks in advance for any advice and/or experience with the products above or similar.
Are you trying to enter exactly after a candle/bar closes?
If yes, try Buy Bid and Sell Ask for quick executions as a limit order. Same goes Market Order. Keys are in the chart trader menu on the right.
Also, you can have your hotkeys set up as well to do the same, but make sure your chart is selected and hotkeys are enabled to get executed.
If you are not trying to enter right away, then I think putting a limit/stop order elsewhere and dragging unto the desire price is the only way, afaik.
Most of the time, I have OCO orders on my screen, i.e., a buy limit/buy stop when I want to buy, which I can adjust accordingly. This works well most of the time, but when volatility picks up I can get some issues.
I think a ClickTrader type of functionality is preferrable, but I'll look into those Hotkeys. Thank you.
TickHunter is a very powerful trade bot or trade assistant that provides many features including a trade panel with several buttons useful for managing trades. Have you ever wanted to place a pending order 1 tick above or below the previous candle? Have …
Not really. I did link to multiple products in my initial post which showed exactly what I'm interested in.
Thanks, though.
No. I have not.
Looks more like buttons than a chart trader add-on? Are you using this?
Thanks.

Update:
I bought Volaty's indicator and it's great!
I haven't tried it with live trading so far - only a bit of testing in simulator yesterday.
So far, it delivers on all it promises which is simply instant order entry on the chart. If I want to make a buy stop/buy limit I - I just use CTRL and click with my mouse to confirm. SHIFT if I want to make a sell stop/sell limit.
From past experiences where I've been both too slow OR clicked the wrong order on the drop-down menu I can tell that this will pay off quickly.
Should be a native feature on NT8, though, but as it's not this is a good solution.
