The resolution discussed on that thread I cant figure out, and have tried a million things.
Can anyone point me in a direction on how to achieve this in strategy builder so that I dont get that error (which force disables the strat)?
Im not posting the strat here as its just a bare bones new strat with no real conditions or anything until I get past this additional data stream loading problem, but I am posting the indicator I am trying to call in case that helps, as it does itself call a 2nd instrument (symbol ^RI6T in kinetic, which is the s&p TRIN, and the data and indicator do work fin in the M2 chart and actually also work fine on their own in the ninzarenko chart too, so there is no issue with either the data or the indicator, the problem is in my not knowing how to pull that data into the strat).
Thank you!!!!
**UPDATE** -
By just copying the AddDataSeries line from config of the indicator and pasting it over the same config line in the stragey builder code, I was able to now operate the strat with no errors. The problem, sadly, is that the value of my indicator should be similar or identical for the same general point in time, but they are not. So I still need help, if anyone can assist!
1st screenshot is the ninzarenko base chart, panel 3 is the indicator, val in cyan
2nd shot is the same rough time frame on the M2 chart of the same instrument, indicator in cyan in panel 2, you can see clearly the values are very often radically different. So I have the same issue: importing properly the data for that one indicator's value so I can call it in my strat.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
assuming you can create the DataSeries, then attached the DataSeries you create as the replace for the default dataseries to the Indicator, that will give you the code required to add that as condition then a Do This function to an indicator attached to the dataseries in the calls.
So I was able to add the data series and no longer get the error.
I still have a problem, though, I want the strategy to use the indicator output value from the M2 chart, and the strat is attempting to use the indicator on the renko type chart (which does not return reliable values, as you can see from my screenshot)
Any ideas on how to call the minute bar indicator (last bar value) in my strat?
