I have MBT and BTCUSD on my charts for a while. they are different.

- MBT has much smaller future contract volume than BTCUSD.
- BTCUSD - 24 hours trading
- MBT - Trading hours is based on CME trading schedule https://www.cmegroup.com/markets/cryptocurrencies/bitcoin/micro-bitcoin.contractSpecs.html
- MBT has the leverage due to future/margin compared to BTCUSD (straight "cash" coin) - unless you use other crypto exchanges that have 3x-100x leverage.

Hope it helps.

For added clarity on the futures
MBT is the CME "MIcro" Future. Contract size is 0.1 coin (so about 4.8k) and I believe the current margin requirement is 42% of notional (so about 2k), meaning you get 138% leverage.
The CME full size contract is BTC. Contract size is 5 coins (so about 240k) and I believe the current margin requirement is 42% of notional (so about 100k !!!), meaning you get 138% leverage.
ICE also have a futures contract BTM. Contract size is 1 coin (so about 48k) and I believe the current margin requirement is 37% of notional (so about 18k), meaning you get 170% leverage.
