What is frustrating for me is it is not consistently saving my workspaces. It does not follow the format shown in videos. I contacted to Ninjatrader and Zach who was very nice did a screen share and explained some things and set up a "template" then followed up with a video on how to open and save workspaces.

I followed paused etc but it still didn't work.

...
I signed up 2 months ago and I have wasted more time and money just trying to get my charts to work properly. I'm so fed up...lol

Sorry to hear you're having these issues.

I don't remember enough about NT anymore to be of any help on the saving workspaces thing, but I do recall that it did it and it was not a problem. I'm not saying this to minimize your issues, but just to let you know that it works and that there is a solution -- which may be cold comfort now, but it really is true. People are using NT all the time and are saving their charts, and doing all the other basic things that traders expect of a trading platform, and I'm sure that you can as well.... and as I said before, I sympathize with your difficulties now.

I did find NT support very helpful and responsive, and I suggest getting back to them and showing exactly what you are doing that doesn't work as expected. You should be able to get all your problems resolved.

Good luck, and hang in there. While it is certainly possible to prefer a different charting package, I can assure you that NT will do all the basics, including saving your charts. Somehow there is something that is not working as you expect, but there will be a way to get beyond these problems.

Probably because the website is designed more around the marketing and search traffic. Everything there is to know is in their help guide though.

Thank you actually the problem got much worse today. So bad in fact the task bar started turning yellow, my computer started heating up and I checked my CPU and NT was using at times 87% which was driving my CPU to 100 and over heating my computer etc.

I thought my comp was ok with 16Gs of RAM and 2.4GHz processor and according to the specs I found it seemed ok but perhaps that isn't enough if you try to add workspaces?

Anyway I spoke to CS they sent me the specs to check out...

Sadly my computer was so out of control I began cancelling all my orders because it was acting up so bad and stalling. It then said it couldn't process my last order which I thought was deleted... ok.. but it did, because as I said it was going crazy. However I wasn't too worried as I was concerned so instead of applying my trades to the gauntlet... I put them on sim

The sad news... I made $1200 on my SIM account instead of my gauntlet...lol
The good news... I didn't lose any real money..lol

Off to sort my haunted computer/NT

Thanks for everyone's help.

How much memory was NT using? How many charts do you have up, and what indicators are you using? Most likely you have a buggy indicator going.

I was using up to and around 87% of my CPU making it go to 100%.

I pulled my event log and it appears there were some issues on there too around that time but I don't know what they mean I had errors with servicecontrolmanager and distributedCOM.

I had 2 charts open.

1 chart had my drawings, fib and RSI some rectangles and trend columns.

The other chart was blank, but

I had the market analyzer open with 7 indicators on it so I would be ready to add them when I want them..

I had JTconnection indicator open and I had 4 DOMs open.

I sent my log and trace folders to them.

I also updated my windows and JT yesterday...

Not sure.
