I would not trade this strategy because:
1 - The profit factor is too small. I would not trade with a PF less than 1.25.
2- Profit per trade just over 2 ticks. To take slippage into consideration, I would recommend at least 5 ticks profit per trade.

I have been trading NT successfully for some time now. See my results attached. Notice 1 tick = $5

I myself wouldn't traded it without a minimum 3 whole ES points being available which most 15 minute bars range met or exceed during RTH's as well many globex session bars.

Look man, what ever advise. You have to find out what suits you.
The only thing you have to look out for is
DO NOT Trade your savings or anything you
Regret to lose. Everything else should be fun!
You shall not bet your marriage, kid, or your savings
on any promising Algo
Stay safe and healthy. I‘m out

Has nothing to do with what suits someone. Allowing for at least some slippage is .. reality. Forward testing, especially with real money on the line using the micros is ... reality.

The OP obviously doesn't want to just do what suits him - which is a good thing. Because markets only care about trades, not traders and especially those who want to do what suits them.

Hi,

What I always do after having developed a strategy are these final tests:

1. take the oldest 20% of the price data, optimize the parameters.
Use only the performance on the 20% in sample data to determine the values and use these on the whole dataset.
What does the equity look like?

2. take the most recent 20% of the price data, optimize the parameters.
Use only the performance on the 20% in sample data to determine the values and use these on the whole dataset.
What does the equity look like?

3. take the middle 20% of the price data, optimize the parameters.
Use only the performance on the 20% in sample data to determine the values and use these on the whole dataset.
What does the equity look like?

If all three the equities still look great, I might have something.

But remember, even after all this testing, verifying and validation all strategies can fail !
Determine before starting trading any strategy live:
1. How am I going to monitor the performance?
2. When am I going to stop trading this strategy? Or when do I replace this strategy by another one?

Hope this helps you in your journey!

All the best,
Carl

Thank you, your results give me hope , i need more work in my strategy and evaluate the profit for trade for the slippage.

I believe @Carl123 is referring to Equity Curves, when he says 'equities'. That is how I read it.
