Hackers please just kidding...

In NT8 C# what does an Unmanaged strategy need to do
to dynamically switch between 2 available Order routing brokers, e.g.
Rithmic to CQG ? ...within the same Strategy code.

Code snippets please.

Thanks !!!! hyperscalper

No can do. Well, you "can" but it doesn't work. I coded a toolbar drop list where I could switch from all my accounts and it worked like a champ as long as I was using a sim account. But the second I switched to a real money account it went nuts... It never placed my stop orders and my chart seemed to freeze.

It's possible with two instance of the strategy (one per account) and some kind of communication for synchronization between the two.

Thanks Guys, for the good info.

From what I've learned from platform support; implementing
as an Addon to NinjaTrader will allow for this capability.

However, I'm a bit concerned that I do want it to continue to be a
subclass of Strategy; so I'll be waiting before doing that...

*Willing to pay extra for a reliable Indicator/Strategy Code that consistently makes money*

Hi,

I trade Futures using NinjaTrader platform (ver8). I would highly appreciate it if someone gets in touch with me to discuss the purchase of a reliable indicator code that consistently makes money.

I started doubting if such a thing even exist, after a multiple failed trials. I can be reached at
Aleneziak@gmail .com or mobile: +966552218218

Thanks

Welcome to FIO AbdullahKSA

Assuming you are new to trading, the concept of an indicator that consistently makes money and can be purchased for a fee is a highly improbable one: if such a thing existed and consistenly made money why would anyone sell it to others?

Also note, I would advise against providing your personal details, you can fall prey to all sort of scams.

You can edit/amend your post up to 24 hours to remove any such details if you wish, but it's up to you.

I am sure all of us sympathize with the desire to beat the markets. I have stuff like
that, but it's all proprietary. Putting something out there means support; and I've
just gotten out of that mindset.

Being a purely technical trader myself, I worked coding for 4 months; but that was on the
back of a previous decade of research and development on Analytics through to
Scalping. Being able to "ride the bucking bronco" of the market requires so much
focus and high technology, in my view, that it's hard to distill that within some fairly
simple "for sale" indicator or strategy module.

[edit] I would just add that all of my current work is focussed on ONE THING, and that
is the Futures Nasdaq NQ via multiple (dozens of) MNQ contracts,
so 1) FOCUS and extreme specialization are
what you should be striving for. 2) I assume you can code up asynchronous multi-threaded
C# in NT8's framework; since that will certainly be able to give you an edge.

Well, you're right, there isn't such a thing. Looking for it will just get you into more failed trials. If all it took were buying an indicator, everyone would just buy it and we would all be rich. Since not everyone is a billionaire, it may not be that simple.

Experience, trial and error, learning about the markets and learning about yourself will be more valuable to you. Some traders do quite well with just moving averages and a price chart. Some have elaborate charts filled with custom indicators. It is not really the method, it is the use that the trader makes of it that matters.

The sooner you stop looking for the indicator or method that will let you consistently make money, the sooner you will find your own way to move forward.

Good luck, and do yourself a favor and stop looking for pre-made trading solutions. There aren't any.

Bob.
