To answer the original question of the thread.... Yes it is time to move... up or out is up to you ... but soon you will have to move .. I'm just sayin'

I like Nt v7 better than Nt v6.5

It's been stable and works for me.

I think it's pretty smooth....very quick....the only 'freeze' issue i've seen is when you load a different instrument and the range of indicators is out of wack...if you pan too far it has an issue with that....just hit the "F" on the instrument panel to auto size or don't do the pan....I haven't had an issue sent.

I have had zero problems otherwise besides that quirck initially.

If bit freezes, it is certainly not a RAM problem. You may have

- either a high CPU load -> set all indicators to CalcOnBarClose = true;
- or faulty custom indicators -> find out which of the indicators is not working

I've had occassions where NT v7 locks up , not near as often as NT 6.5.

Several times I have lost Zenfire Connection but my internet connection was just fine. Still researching to see if the problem is on my end or not.

I looked at Sierra Charts and MultiCharts. Both are good products. But I have two accounts, a regular account and a retirement account. With Ninja Trader I can send an order to both simultaneously with one click. I cannot do that with either Sierra Charts or Multicharts. They will both handle multiple accounts/brokers, but I would have to send two separate orders.

I don't think I can get cool looking charts like this with either of them. I know, it's a small thing, but I like it.

So I will be staying with NT 7 until further notice.

Everyone should do what works for them.

AFAIK, MultiCharts 7 supports this because it allows you to connect to multiple brokers concurrently and manage the orders with a single entry platform. I specifically remember this feature because it appealed to a friend of mine who manages several accounts and wants to trade them concurrently with a single DOM. But to be checked with MultiCharts, I haven't tried it.

I asked MultiCharts today and they said no.

They said I could set up two charts and send an order from each one but that it would not be simultaneous with one click. Click one run over to the other chart click it. (Sierra charts said the same thing )

It is possible that the person I talked with at MultiCharts support was misinformed. But that is what he told me when I asked specifically about hitting one key and have an order sent to two accounts simultaneously.

Perhaps it is possible with automated trading writing a script. But I am a discretionary trader entering orders manually.

If you find out that this is actually being done please post it. Thanks!

Thanks for clarifying, so my mistake. MC7 alpha doesn't support TT so I've been using Sierra lately for execution, although I still prefer MC for charting.

You guys should check out this other NinjaTrader thread that may be related to this thread:

If your two accounts are at the same broker, you can ask your broker to setup a block master account. You only need to send one order to the master account to trade both sub-accounts. The back office (clearing firm) will take care of the rest.

OEC can do it on the client side, the OEC Trader.

IB is auto too with friend and family master account.

Transact and Crossland are manual, you need to tell your broker whenever you need to change the allocation.

Not sure about other brokers.
