My installation ran UNATTENDED 24/7 for 11 days with no problems. Several workspaces running, a bunch of GomRecorders. But that is not "stable" enough, I wanna go back to NT5.

Over the last several months (at least) all development work on volume ladders has been done on NT7.

I should know.

I have not used NT6.5 in well over a year and have been running volume ladder right from the start, Gomi's original version.

I took the plunge and downloaded NT7 on my older pc and it has been awesome. It uses less resources and loads faster. Way more efficient and very stable. I say go for it. Downloading market replay data is wonderful.

Used NT 6.5. again today. 3 full crashes - NT had to be removed via Windows Task Manager - within 20 minutes on data loading. 10 restarts. It is really the worst software ever.

With NT 7.0. I only had one crash during the last 6 months.

What an improvement!

Hello all,

I am trading in NT 7 and I find it very stable, although my workspace is very heavy...

Happy trading!

Once I stopped saving live IQFeed data as historical, NT7 has been quite stable and runs 24/7. I have multiple volume ladders and workspaces with a total of about 30/40 charts with tick data coming from IQFeed.

Perhaps I will eventually take the plunge and start trading using NT!

Can you clarify --- you disabled the internal NT option to save data, or you disabled the GOM Recording Framework recording?

Mike
