I find NT8's effort at a TPO chart to be...lacking. I see what TT and other top tier charts have and I am left sad. Does anyone know of a good 3rd party effort? Or maybe is a NT8 magician that can render these things more professional looking and not like a Romper Room mural?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Ninjatraders TPO effort is a joke - Just try to get anything that looks even partially useful on somthing like NQ. I can't. I've used Fin-ALG's one for a long time. Does everything that you need, bar proper splitting of letters, but I had to remove it. It has performance issues in time of high volatility. I've many charts open, but just 1 tpo chart with fin-alg on it. Ninjatrader utilisation monitor always points to the top indicator (the single instance) as using more resources than all the other indicators on my system, including the many, many volume profiles I have. So, sadly, I rarely run live with TPO charts anymore. Wish there was a decent solution that I did not have to pay for (again). Hope this info help.
Yeah, it's a joke. So is Rancho's, but Coder For Traders is okay. I like how the TPO organizes data, I use the TPO but use the volume on the TPO. I think Sierra or RT has a good TPO. Both of those platforms have too many clicks though. I like Rancho's VP better than NT's.
You can chose VP or TPO for the profile value area. 70 is the standard instead of 68.
You have to manipulate the resolution of the profile with the backspace and space bar. Splitting and all the other stuff is point and click really easy.
