I have had enough of Ninjatrader. I am now looking for a replacement charting system. Why?

It seems that you need a paid license not only to trade through Ninja but also to add or edit indicators. LOL
I got my free license and now don't have access to create or edit indicators or strategies.

After allowing free use of charting for many years and building up a large user base, Ninja are now pushing them into becoming paying customers.

This would be ok if the product worked properly but they have fumbled the ball big time in my opinion. Their handling of bid/ask information is the biggest problem.

I am running a 15 day trial of Sierra Chart and after just 1 day i have most of what i wanted to do in Ninja set up. including bid/ask studies and historical bid ask back data from IQFeed.

Can you provide any link with the information about the licence changes you mentioned?

Please correct me if I am wrong but I believe you are not talking about the free NinjaTrader but about direct licence:

Hi Gregid,

That is the license version I have got. How do I get a free one that allows indicator adding/editing etc?

Anyway I am still looking for an stable robust alternative with historical bid/ask data. Sierra chart seems to have all this and is still cheaper than Ninja

@britkid99

You need to register for the free licence here:
Trading Platform. [AUTOLINK]NINJATRADER[/AUTOLINK]. Register and Download.

this has got full functionality when it comes to development but you can't trade of this licence - for trading use the direct licence you already have

You do know you can just edit the indicators with notepad... There are also other programs out there for free that lets you compile
