Ninja trader and Interactive Brokers Lyte Question
I do not think so. I was looking at that a few weeks ago myself.. A ninja connection and no commissions world doesn't exist yet that I can see. Trade-station might be free commissions with theirs. Supposedly you if you deposit at least $2000 you can use their pro platform I found out after talking to one of there salesman. But it was like pulling teeth to get him to say it was free.
So good luck
Quantismo..
With a multi platform NinjaTrader license and an account with IB you can connect NT to IB TWS (direct or via gateway). Since IBKR Lite only comes with a web- or mobile (app) interface and not with the TWS you cannot connect.
Thanks guys, I got on the phone with InteractiveBrokers support and they were able to confirm that their lyte package does not plug-in to NinjaTrader. I could not find anything on google about this topic and hope that google indexes this page for future reference.
I didnt know about trade-station, I will research that possibility. Im currently at RobinHood and could roll over 5k into a different account.
I wanted to test an automated trading strategy with Stocks. And to save on free commissions if possible.

Since TWS can now be used with an IBKR LITE account, I still assume one cannot simply connect IB's Market Data through NinjaTrader's charts? (I'm not interested in executing via NT- just the charts) Thx.
Just wanted to follow-up. The answer remains as NO. Even though IBKR LITE account holders can now use TWS, the API settings required for this type of connection are disabled / greyed-out.
