Hi all,

I have several charting signals developed/discovered that I use for entries and exits during the day. Most are fairly common. And I think most should be possible to program. For example a double top/bottom.

In the process of removing discretion/interpretation, I’d love to actually code this in Ninjatrader and have NT alert me whenever a signal/condition is triggered. Not sure how yet. Maybe a pane at the bottom of my charts.

Have anyone else done something similar?

I also noticed that there exist a commercial software which seems to work in a similar way. It's an add-on called Chartist. It may not suit my specific purposes, but it’s the same basic idea, I think.

They offer a free trial, so I will probably test it later this summer when I can find some more time for this.

Thanks in advance for any pointers or experiences on the subject.

Howard

Nobody at all?

I now see that the trial costs money (14$), but I will likely try it myself in a week when I can find the time (family holiday now).

It's probably not what I'm looking for, but should be interesting to see if it could give me some ideas for custom implementations.

Quick Question:
I see you on Futures.io a lot asking questions.
Have you ever considered supporting Futures.io by becoming an elite member?
You will gain access to a lot more areas by being elite.
And you may even get more answers to your questions.

I have considered it. Maybe eventually.

I do try to reduce forum time in general. There are free forums elsewhere which have a lot of great content. Also, I'm not new to trading.

If I were new and didn't know any other forums, I would probably have upgraded without hesitating.

But maybe I should do it anyway.
