A quick checkup on GDI objects in the Task Manager (checkbox the GDI Objects in Columns...) might also point a finger at heavy drawer/breather indicator culprit:
I have the same GDI object count as you approximately - 464 but currently I'm at the low end of memory usage for my workspace 1.5GB... I'll keep an eye on it when i notice that memory usage increasing... thanks.
