When creating a strategy how do you tell it to go long/short when the indicator is green/red? do you have to write the code? or can you do it through the strategy wizard?

I know exactly what you mean. What you are meaning is that you are looking to create a strategy where the parameters in entering a trade is based on a green arrow or red arrow, or a trendline turning green/red.

I have been trying to figure this out as well. I have a MA that turns green/red and would like to creat an Auto Strat that goes in a buy when green and sell on red. I was also trying to figure out how to create a strategy using another time frame as confirmation.

Anybody?

hmm...

when a line is changing colors or an arrow appears, this has an exactly defined + coded reason.

you can reproduce + use this "reason" as conditions in the code (if you know the conditions),
but its not possible to do this / grab this through the wizard easiely just by the color-change / arrow-plot.

so the way would be : find out the condition the arrow / color-change is driven by
& then use / rebuild this code for your strategy-developement.

this means if a color line changes if a MA is rising / falling, you can define this condition in the strategy-wizard for example

many words - lol - i hope you get what i wanna explain
