Candlestick detector for Ninjatrader (or other platform)?
Yes, I am aware of the inbuilt pattern detector in NT 7/8, but there seems to be some kind of bars I'd like to test which are not supported.
The reason I'm asking is that I'd like to backtest/check these patterns and it would go a hell of a lot faster if it could be computerized.
There may be others, but currently I'm very interested in testing what I call tail bars.
These are not Doji's, but typically have a smaller body with a relatively large tail. Not sure how one would program this one, but I'd say the tail should be at least 2x the body.
Another pattern which should be interesting to test is what I call reversal bars. I haven't fully worked out the logic for these, but the idea is that it's a bar which completely reverses the prior bar.
I will probably end up backchecking manually, but figured I could ask just in case anyone know if there's a way to test this faster.
Thanks in advance.
