I recently downloaded the Better Brick Chart Style and Better Renko Bar Type from the NT8 Ecosystem page. I noticed an issue with a custom indicator I use painting on the charts in real time.
Basic indicators like SMA or EMA work fine, but I use a custom indicator that I purchased which calculates potential entry and exit values based on a variety of inputs. When I put that indicator on the chart it works beautifully on past data, but will not paint in "real time". I attached a couple of screen shots.
On the first one you can see that when the chart was opened, the indicator painted the potential entry and exits (crosses and dots) on the past data but as new data came in, nothing was painted.
In the second shot I have refreshed the same chart and now it shows entries and exits from the indicator.
This indicator works flawlessly on the other charts types in NT8. I typically use in on tick charts and range charts but it also works fine on time-based charts.
Has anyone seen Better Renko behave like this before?
I have contacted the vendor for the custom indicator but thought I would through it out to the experts here as well.
