@NinjaTrader are there plans wrt to adding a stock screener and portfolio trading capabilities? Stock screening and portfolio trading seem pretty standard nowadays in most algo trading software/platforms/libraries including a numerous open source solutions. I am currently coding an algo in NT8 that I plan on implementing and trading shortly via your brokerage. However, this is just a short term solution. If these features are not added, I will have no choice but to go with another solution in the near future.

Secondly, does NT have any plans on adding a supported Python bridge? If not, why not? It is pretty simple to do.

Also, is NT going to add a Connection to the Alpaca api for free stock data? Just in the case you are not aware, here is a link to Alpaca's .Net API: https://github.com/alpacahq/alpaca-trade-api-csharp

Lastly, does NinjaTrader have any plans on adding a FCM that has free ACH withdrawals? Frankly, I am shocked by this one. Like, what!? Are Phillips and Dorman stuck in the stone age? Doesn't everyone have ACH capabilities? Apparently, the answer is "no" to my surprise.

Thanks for reaching out.

1. Stock screener - We started working on a dedicated client/server stock screening service however, this project has been put on hold due to other projects that have higher priority. Alternatively, you can harness the power of the Market Analyzer to filter and screen. No ETA if and when we will get back to the screener project.

2. Portfolio trading is on our enhancement list as something that will be considered for future addition.

3. Python bridge - No plans at this time.

4. Alpaca - No plans at this time.

5. ACH is currently a project being worked and we hope to announce something sooner than later.

ACH is a must. Am surprised for as long as NinjaTrader has been around that they don't have ACH. To send money with a bank wire requires a bank fee. To send money by check and USPS fastest service takes a few days. To open an account took me a week and a half, whereas opening accounts at TST or E2T which both use Rithmic data takes one day. Even AMP is faster.

I'm using NT8 with IQFeed for backtesting equities data.

I recently pointed out to NT support that any prints below 100 appear as aggregated in my T&S window, therefore i only see >= 100. I did a side-by-side comp of various T&S from other platforms to show this phenomena.

NT came back stating that it was expected behavior.

Anyone experience the same issue with a potential solution?

Tradingwarrior,

Please private message me with your email you opened a support ticket on so that I may have my staff double check, generally I expect the tape between IQFeed and NinjaTrader to be the same outside of a corner case.

Way back in the day Scottrade mailed a 40k check to me that I had requested from my account and it ended up at one of my neighbors apartments for 2 weeks before they felt it important enough to drop it off at my door. Had the same thing happen again with a 50k check a few months after from another source. So no more check in the mail for me crap from anyone If I can help it. Since then I only use brokers that have ACH money transfer. Sure I could wire the money.. but why not just get the Pony express going again if were going to use old technology thats outdated and basically annoying to use.

Quantismo

PS. I found I can use ACH to safely move large amounts of money into my brokers account as a secondary lvl of protection to protect it from cyberthiefs that have wiped out my bank accounts twice in the past 15 years.

Why does ninjatrader lose connection to data?

I have used your platform(s) for 10 years now and the one issue I can not seem to figure out is lost connection.

It seems to happen no matter the internet I have, the computer I use, the VPS I pay for, the feed I run.

All I want for Christmas is to be able to run my systems Sunday through Friday without a drop in connection.

Please help me understand why this happens, why it seems to be more common on NT than any other platform I have used and what I can do to ensure the most stable connection?

When I have inquired in the past about this through the support channels, everyone points fingers. Ninja says its my internet, the vps provider says we're stable its the platform... round and round we go.

Ninja is complete garbage, but everyone is still using it, they will always blame something/someone but not themselves. I moved on and got rid of my lifetime license.
