Instead of everyone getting all worked up about this, why not email them and ask if it is ok to post it here or if it should be removed?
Maybe they would like the publicity.???

Here is their response. I have deleted the file from the download section. Sorry for the inconvenience.
"Hello Andrew,
thank you for contacting TradingCoders, and thank you for coming forward with this inquiry. Also, thanks for liking TCTrendingTSF enough to post it to Big Mike.
I would prefer it if you took it down. Even though you kindly referenced the TradingCoders website, it is more beneficial for our website traffic if users find the indicator here, rather than elsewhere.
Many thanks,
James | TradingCoders"

Thanks for this , Andrew. I also posted the indicator not realizing it was copyrighted (and as it is a freebie available to anyone anywhere ...) , you have to go into the code itself and look for the notice to see it. Apologies all round.
I hope this thread will continue in terms of successfully using TCTSFtrending , I have noticed that it is very similar to a MACD line that I use as a momentum indicator. I wish I could get it to work in a strategy, but ,alas, I can not! Thanks to tradingcoders for creating it.

Can you post what you have coded so far and what errors you have when you compile the strategy?

TCTrendingTSF is a free indicator provided by a coding service. It is a
moving average type trend indicator but it works much better, I think.
It works well in NT6.5 but it doesn't want to be imported into NT7 , NT7 reports errors in it, and wont allow it.
I would like to know if anyone else has it and what they think of it. I find that it keeps you in a trend quite well and could be the
basis for some advanced strategies.
Also, I would like to know if others are having issues with it as I am. With NT6.5 it works fine as an indicator but I can't get it to work properly in a strategy. I need to learn about programming!
Any comments or help that you can give would be great. Thanks in advance and enjoy this (otherwise) nice trend indicator.

You can get the latest version FREE on their website at TradingCoders | Programming services and software for traders
Click the link for FREE STUFF, then click for FREE SOFTWARE, then you'll see TCTrendingTSF, then click DOWNLOAD and it displays a page with 2 versions on it. One for NT6.5 and a new one for NT7
After all, it's what you learn AFTER you know it all, that counts!

The ind. has a non-plotting Boolean signal for use in strategies (which is not available in the strat wizard).
Try is...
if (TCTrendingTSF(3, 50).SignalDirection[0] == true)
{
EnterLong();
}
if (TCTrendingTSF(3, 50).SignalDirection[0] == false)
{
EnterShort();
}

Hallo zacharydx00,
I am a novice and I tried your suggestion but how do you declare the "SignalDirection"?

hey Benjamin,
TCTrendingTSF(3, 50).SignalDirection [0]
is a dataseries defined by special conditions inside the indicator .
you can look into the TCT-indicator to see how this is defined.
