I am looking for a slight change to the CCI_Trend_beta_v1 that was kindly posted by TMFT. The change is as follows:

If the CCI crosses over the ZERO line, then the first 4 bars are coloured Brown, the 5th bar is colored YELLOW, and from then onwards the bars are either BLUE (when above Zero) or RED when below zero.

Please see the attached charts for examples.

Max,

You are a charm. That is exactly what I am looking for. Did not realize that it existed as a normal indicator in NT, as it is under Woodies and not CCI. Thank you very much

hm - i thougth you should have it with my posted .cs - file -- look if you can find WoodiesCCi when inserting indicators in your chart.
it should be the next one below WoodiesCCiPanel.

they are combined in one .cs if i remember it right

if not -- let me know.

Yes thanks. I do have both, but it is strange that in the NT indicator directory, I only see WoodiesCCIPanel, and not the WoodiesCCI as well. In the indicator list I see both. Can this be correct

yep its possible + i just found out the secret why :

the WoodiesCCi is a native-build in NT-Indicator but hidden with a special closed code - so its not available in the NT indicator directory - lol

http://ww25.ninjatrader-support.com/HelpGuideV6/helpguide.html?WoodiesCCI&subid1=20210301-1520-2428-a29e-fda0cd4ae720

So do you get what you searched for now ?

BTW - moved the woodie-stuff to over here now to not mess in Jeffs thread to much

At the moment it does not bother me, but do you know of any specific reason why this was done in this way.

@perryg

True, the Sidewinder and Chopzone indicators are not public. But Snaphook over the NT forum under WCCI has done a tremendous job of recreating these indicators plus a Forecaster (this is the meat!) and a Panel that almost 99% are close to the original. You will be impressed with his work when you compare to the original NT WCCI indicator.

Also, the MQ4 version (public source code) gives almost exact indicators.

Have fun!

chopzone is a EMA 34 almostly!

crossing is a change a color!

Like all other indicators, there is nothing magic about Woodies ChopZone Indicator or Sidewinder. I actually liked his system better before these indicators came along. I wrote these same indicators in Tradestation years ago but out of respect for Woodie I will not divulge them. However I must say, for the life of me I don't know why traders get so obsessed trying to figure these indicators out. I know the formula for both and I don't trade with either one.

Wow this is an unexpected pleasure! Talk about a blast from the past ... Glad to see you posting.

I think the first time I came across Woodies CCI Club was back in the old PalTalk days. I think you did a great thing , you trained a lot of traders , like me, for free.

To this day , I still refer to certain patterns as Woodies "Insert Pattern Name here". See attached picture.

Thanks again for all your help over the years!

Great looking cci indicator, is there anywhere that a template might be posted of the same indicator and colors. Just wondering. I use Ninja and would love to use this as a trading weapon.

Thanks

The background coloring is a gradient that is not supported by Ninja Trader. You can find it here;

TMFT,

I downloaded the CCI_colorcorrected for NT7 from the link you provided, but my cci doesn't look anything like yours. No "dashed" average line (I assume that's what it is) & the mid-line is white, whereas, your mid-line seems to alternate between red / green. Can you share your version of the indicator with us? Thanks.

After all, it's what you learn AFTER you know it all, that counts!

If you are looking for Woodies CCI, it is already part of NT8.
