I'm using NT8 with Continuum data feed. I have this issue where I always have to reload my charts to get the candles to print correctly. Everyday, when I load up the charts the prior day (or any period since last manual reload) will have misprinted candles, gaps, or just incorrect data. It really only happens with the 1440m charts that I use for daily charts.
I've tried getting help from NT tech support but they can't find the issue. I've actually had this problem on NT7 and on different computers.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with 1440m charts and Ninjatrader?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Try this in the trading session goto the 24x5 template and add the below time to include sunday evening open then use that session settings for your chart. This should get rid of any gaps aside from actual "real" gaps due to markets being closed and re-open. You can make a new session by copying but that's up to you.
Thanks for trying to help but that doesn't resolve my issue. I need the session to start at 6pm and end at 5pm everyday for ETH which is why I use the "use instrument settings", it's the same as Nymex ETH settings.
My problem is with missing data and only on the 1440m charts. I get the gaps in price but they are fixed after I reload the charts.
So you are having to reload every time upon opening? I'm guessing you've already tried deleting the database and reloading it? If so I'm out of options here :/
Anyway, maybe try making it 6pm to 5:15pm to be more accurate.
Not more accurate when The CL ETH session was changed to be 6pm to 5pm quite awhile ago.
I have used the ETH session as the session template with 1380 for the minutes (23 hours), and had no problem with the Ninja charts. Give that a try instead.
