Welcome to futures io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

Regression channel printing

Is there a way to have the regression channell print in the past like it does in real time, make plots like it did in real time, not the perfect straight line but how it looked at each candle?

Not sure what you want but if you click on a regression channel (that is an indicator) it will show dots where it was.

Good trading to everyone.

If want you want is the regression lines to stay on the chart then you will need someone to edit the indicator so that it doesn't "redraw" - at least that's what I think it is called - essentially not erase the lines it has drawn.

Good trading to everyone.

Repainting Indicators

As @aquarian1 mentions - there is a issue with lots of repainting indicators
like SMA, ZigZag etc. and many others.
You may search threads for "repainting" and you will find many discussions
here on fio.

One thread of interest can be checked here:
https://futures.io/ninjatrader/27635-repainting-indicators-backtesting.html

Best of luck to fix it.
