Hi,

I have a "market profile" style price_volume indicator that presents the information in the form of a heat map. It's written for WealthLab Pro, so in C#. I'm not the original author but have modified it from the original. I'm having trouble converting it to run under Ninjatrader 8; both in terms of the graphic presentation and series management. Is there anyone here that might like to take a crack at converting it? I've found this indicator to be invaluable, especially if combined with order flow analysis.

Here is a pic showing the use of the two systems (price volume heat map (1 min chart) and OFA on a 5 min chart. I just placed a trade at 3.72. We will have to see how it pans out Unfortunately they are on two separate platforms. My goal is to combine them into a single solution. The two black lines are also calculated by the heatmap and can be used to automatically trigger a buy/sell stop order for instance.

Hi boreland,
I am a new member and happened to find this post while searching for the same topic. My understanding is that this heat map shows the developing volume profile over time starting from the same time on the chart, not the volume profile of separate consecutive segments, right? It's been more than 2 years since your post, can you give an update of whether your opinion about the usefulness of this indicator still holds after this time? Is there's anything you can add from your experience that can make it more useful?
