The Thinkorswim platform has interesting indicator that can show VPOC for the chosen # of bars . Thy call it POC band bars . I think its very useful because you can see were most of the trading volume was done and one can put stops or initiate trade close to this lines . I wonder if Ninjatrader has any similar stuff ( I could not find any thing at indicator section) or some programmers can see the use of it and can cod it .

This simple indicator will help you

NT Developer

Thanks! That is awesome.

But I have one question/problem.

They seem to work on my 15 MINUTE Bars but not on the 1 MINUTE Bars for some reason.

How do they work?

Do I have to download Level 2 Data for the Time series? If so then... how is it that they are working for my 15 minute bars and not the 1 minute bars of the same instrument CL 5-16?

What do you think?
Thank You!

Nevermind @NTDeveloper

It seems to be working now.

It is like a 1 minute chart that I had for a long long time did not want to update or anything.

I had to make one from scratch and it seems to be working.

Thanks!

Will this awesome indicator be available for Ninja 8?

Great indicator indeed, is it possible to make an option of choosing for how many bars back you want the POC to be build? Let say display POC of the last 5 bars as a single POC, instead of every bar? Or maybe display POC from the last swing high/low. Gonna be much more useful for entering a developing trend IMHO. Thanks for considering.

P.S. Can you please also make the plot of POC line public, so it can be used in strategies. Thanks.

does anyone know if a vendor or someone had made available this indicator for nt8 so that it shows the poc on a bar... dont need all the orderflow numbers as wanted to be able to see it on the monthly or weekly as well... here is a pic https://www.screencast.com/t/9a7RttBky OFA does a good job but can't handle daily/weekly so thought maybe a if the guts were ripped out like the on here for nt7would be less resource intensive and may be able to be applied to daily as well as intraday.
thanks

I have been trying desperately to extract values from the SimplePOC indicator to use in a Strategy. Unfortunately it seems it is not possible with how it is written. If you try to reference the indicator it just gives bar close values. Can someone please help with a way that I may extract the values of this SimplePOC??

Thanks

Nick
