Hello friends,

I'm using Ninja at home and at the office and replicate the user directory with onedrive. This works nearly perfect.
The only one that doesnt work ist to draw a line in a chart at home and to replicate the line in the chart at the office, if this line is not marked as global.

I understand that the two charts are not the same so this is the reason for this behaviour but maybe someone has a solution or an idea to get this working.

I dont want to use the global Function because i dont want every drawing object in all charts. Its a mess in the longer timeframes.

Thanks in advance
Regards, futurewiz

An alternative is to make one machine the 'Master', keep it always on
and with the other use a remote viewer to take control (teamviewer, remote desktop, ... ) ?

Thanks rleplae for your suggestion. I like working without borders ;-), it is fantastic.

Are there any other suggestions to get a solution. Is there maybe an Indikator, that saves all Drawings in a file that can be imported to another chart?

Regards, Futurewiz

I did a quick test, trying to find out where the drawing is stored, i thought in one of the xml's
workspace, but didn't see it immediately,
maybe i overlooked it, ...

Couldn't quickly find it, ..

@sam028 any thoughts ?

The charts are in the worskpace xml's and will transfer between machines (and db, templates, etc, etc) , I did it just today.

But if the object is not flagged as global it won't be in any xml files, so we're back to square 1 .
And if synchronize folders don't work I don't see any easy solution.

Well, I just transferred this non-global blue dashed line from home to office using just the workspace .xml file. maybe it only works for short distances.

Cheers

So the original method, sync two folders, should have worked???

Depends if there were any open r/t locks in place that would have prevented it I guess, I'm not familiar with the folder sharing product or whether Ninja locks it's open workspace files, but I wouldn't think so. If he saved the workspaces ok I don't see why it couldn't work with care.

All the chart objects are certainly carried in the .xml file, you can see and edit them easily enough in WordPad.

Cheers
