Thanks Mike. I spent a while on this today with no success.
I've included an attachment. It shows I'm connected to Market Replay
at the bottom left.

The instrument manager does not have any CL data it seems (??)
See next attachment.

I really think I'm missing something obvious, like I don't know how
to select this instrument, as you wrote to me previously.

If you want to reply, take your time, I expect to be off-line for
a few days.

Sorry about this,

- Stephen

In Instrument Manager, type in CL. THen at bottom select 01-10 contract, and hit left arrow. Your market replay 'available data' shows CL 01-10, this is where I am getting it from. Then open a new CL 01-10 chart after connecting to market replay connection.

Mike

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.

How did you create the first screenshot (of the available data)? I' d like to see that screen on my NT7, but I can't figure out how you did it.

thanks!

Hi

Right click on replay box in the area below the slider
then
left click on 'Available data' and left click on whatever "+" you want.

Mike

I downloaded NT 64 bit 7.0.0.20 a number of days ago.
This is apparently the Direct Edition. I can only
guess that the Standard Version has market replay???

See attachment from my search with my current NT software.
This seems to explain it all.

NOTE: "Market Replay is not supported in the NinjaTrader Direct Edition."

It would seem so. I own a lifetime license, so can't speak to the free ones.

Mike

I just was at their site. I think I'll post at their forum,
since this doesn't make any sense.

Do you have direct edition? It would probably say in Help - About, I assume. It is determined by your license key. Is your license key from a broker, or did you buy NT?

Mike

These are my licensed features:

Licensed features: AdvancedStrategyManagement
AutomatedTrading
BasicEntry
Charting
SuperDom

I don't see anything about 'Direct' or 'Standard' in the About section.
My license key was from NinjaTrader's site. I have the freeware
version of NT. Earlier in the year I had an older freeware version.
I connected to BarChart during the day and recorded market replay
data on the YM. This data worked.

I have posted at the NT forum about this matter about an hour ago.
The problem could very well be with the user (ie. me). I'll let you know
what they say of course.
