With everyone fairly new to NT 7 and NT7 fairly new to the w
I've been running 7.0 recently & notice that is has to try to connect several times before actually connecting. This is causing a "disconnect" on my laptop at home, when my work computer connects. I get home at the end of the day & notice "Broker disconnect enforced because of a second login attempt". I have "two" signons with Mirus. Thus, all the market replay data I thought I'd have at the end of the day, at home on the laptop, is missing due to the disconnect. This is becoming a pain!
NT6.5 never did this. Maybe they'll get it sorted out before the final release.
After all, it's what you learn AFTER you know it all, that counts!
My broker & NT support has reported to me this is a known bug.
If I get a disconnected message when front of the computer I can reconnect immediately. So when I am not in front of the system I leave only one computer running NT 7.

Are you trading NT7 with real money or just sim trading it right now? I'm trying to get a sense of how many people (if any) are actually trusting this thing with real money at this time.
I posted something on the main NT7 support forum about having NT Staff post a list of "suggested improvements" for people to comment on or vote on for upcoming releases. I did that because I have suggested several things and I want to see what all they are getting as suggestions - are there 50 suggestions (the same things over and over again) or 1000 different suggestions? I also want to see proof that my suggestions are actually making it to the development team.
Anyway, NT Josh replied that they are just trying to get the program stable at this time and then they will work on enhancements. I guess they don't even think it's "stable" yet.
I only loaded NT7 this weekend because of frustrations I was having with 6.5 but it sounds like NT7 still has a ways to go to be used in real time trading - with confidence.
Hopefully others will comment here on their NT7 experience also.
By watching the DOM/RealStats/Ladder know pretty quick if I have a feel for the price action.
Really learned this 2 weeks ago when I could not get into trading and just sat there. Felt there were things to learn & the next day decided to just sim for a while. Then switched to real money once I had confidence in my ability.
It is not the same and but still useful - at least to me - as it forces me to admit when it is not a good idea to trade.

What instruments are you trading and what charts?
CL with 4 SBS Renko or ES with 512 tick or what?
When you say "ladder" what are you referring to? I've been busy with my own method so I haven't looked at the volume ladder or market profile. Are you using that? If so, tell me how it helps you?
Use a 1K Ladder as my primary chart.
1k volume with indicators developed by Zondor and myself to reinforce decisions.
8k & 32000 ladders + a day chart
All in an attempt to see the big picture as well as what is happening right now.
On a second computer I use 3 DOMs/T&Ss and 3 8k volume charts, just like the 1k shown here.
Many times will watch the 3 DOM/T&Ss and 8k volume charts to get a feel for the price action and make a decision what to trade based on what I see.
Once a decision as to what is most promising is made, will switch to watching the 1k volume ladder with RealStats (histogram of the DOM) overlayed on the right side of the chart to get a feel for the DOM and how the ladder levels are filling.
