Anyway to Label a chart aside from the top left which seems to be in really small font?
I'd like to label different charts as some look similar but have different settings, and it makes it easier to explain to others. Like a big water mark or similar.
An example is an rth vs eth chart with the similar colors and indicators.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
If by watermark you mean a big semi-transparent text in the background, which some platforms do have, that would be tough.
But it's simple enough to just put a text label on a chart. I think there are a lot of them running around, but I couldn't find one so I knocked out this one.
It lets you put your custom text in predefined locations -- the 4 corners or the center -- and set the text color and size, and put up a background color for the text, or leave it off.
This will probably do what you need. I'm going to also cross-post this in the free Ninja indicator thread also so it can be seen by any others who may need it.
OpalDragon recently made a request in another thread for a change to an indicator I did a while ago, which just lets you put some custom text on pre-set locations on a chart. It had been requested by KahunaDog so he could label similar-looking charts …
Basically, I don't have the time or free attention right now to work on NT7 indicators. So any changes will need to wait until NT8 is well-established.
However, in that reply I posted an update that corrects an issue that the original had, which can cause it to slow down your charts if you have a lot of them with many indicators, plus this one, on them. If you're making use of this, you should get the newer version.
Also, I have posted links to two chart note indicators that, in my opinion, do a better job than mine, and I recommend them. One of them actually does what @KahunaDog originally wanted, which is a "watermark" type display.
I hope that you and @KahunaDog can make some use of these suggestions. Take a look.
