Has anyone benchmarked or measured the performance of their Ninjatrader setup ?
Background
NT8 is coming out and many of us are thinking of marking the occasion with a hardware upgrade. I would like to be able to benchmark or measure the performance/behaviour of my current NT7 setup in a controlled way and when I get my hands on NT8 ...do the same.
Requirements
Correct me if I am wrong, but everyone's NT7 app setup will have an effect on performance.
# of instruments
look back periods
#of open workspaces
#of charts
all will have an effect on different aspects of performance.

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
What improvements to PC configuration will you recommend in order to increase response-time ?
I have some performace issues whith my PC, y have loaded 4 (contracts) with 4 graphics, in total 16 different screens and my computer has some performace issues...
what are your pc specs in terms of CPU, RAM and GPU (graphics card?). I would think NT is mostly reliant on CPU and ram. NT7 is single threaded but NT8 will use multiple cores.
Understanding yourself is just as important as understanding markets.
